Hey guys, I’ve found some deals I’d love to make y’all aware of, first a sale then a bundle, so let’s begin.

The folks over at GoG are having a 1C sale, which includes a few spacey games, those being:

These are pretty good deals, but honestly I’ve seen these cheaper on other sales, so keep that in mind. The reason to get ‘em at GOG — besides supporting one of the best sites ever — is lack of DRM and goodies like wallpaper and such.

Secondly, thanks to doctor_roxo for letting us know that there’s a new Winter Bundle by Positech Games, the same bloke behind Gratuitous Space Battles. This bundle includes two space games, Starship Tycoon and Planetary Defense plus some other non-spacey games for $5.99, which is a good deal I might look into my own self. ;)

So y’all remember these deals I listed a few days ago on GamersGate? I dunno if y’all noticed, but I thought it was off that Star Wolves 3: Civil War wasn’t on that list, since the previous two Star Wolves games were. So it’s the time of year where presents must be bought, whether for friends or loved ones, and if you have that person in your life that loves space games, or is new to space games and wants to play more, it can be confusing to know what to get ‘em. There are a goodly amount of choices out there when it comes to computer-based space games, but they all cater to different desires. Does the person for whom you plan to buy a space game prefer piloting a spaceship? Or maybe they want to be more of a tactician, commanding their forces like an admiral, or maybe they want to even control an entire space empire?

I’ve thought of the games that are still for sale these days, whether newish or not, and have come up with a list that I feel could cater to any space game fan, new or old. Click below to check out the list, complete with links to the various places you can buy the games listed.

I found some more deals both on GamersGate and BeamDog (which I’ve never used, so YMMV). First up, GamersGate has a Star Wolves 1-3 bundle for $15, which is a steal. I reviewed the third one ages ago and liked it a lot. On BeamDog, they’re having a massive Strategy First sale, which includes Dakr Star One, Galactic Dream: Rage of War, Crusaders of Space 2, Alien Outbreak 2: Invasion, Star Defender 2 and Star Defender 3 all for 50% off. Check ‘em out. :)

Star Wolves Goes A'Fightin'...

Get this pew-pewness for 60% off today!

The good folks at Good Old Games are having one of their daily gem promos, wherein they highlight a game in their collection that came out a while back that might be overlooked these days. Today’s sale is on the fantastic tactical space combat RPG thingy, Star Wolves.

If you’ve not played Star Wolves (here’s the official page), it’s a real-time (and pausable) tactical space game wherein you control several units — both fighters and your mothership — in various battles. Your pilots gain experience and skills — hence the RPG part — and your ships can gain new weaponry and equipment. It’s a great game, if you overlook the wonky story and typically funky European voice acting. If you have any interest in space games, it’s totally worth the $4. Enjoy!
