(Almost) All of the Wing Commander Games on Sale at GOG

Wing Commander

Pew Pew on the Cheap!

Hey y’all, GOG is having one of their weekend sales, which this time includes the Ultima and Wing Commander games. Since what we really care about around here is Wing Commander, you can get these on the cheap:

If you’ve not played any of these, now is the perfect chance to snag these iconic games and see what all the fuss is about. :) Enjoy!

PS. The recently released Wing Commander Saga: The Darkest Dawn takes place in the same time period as Wing Commander 3, so to fully get everything out of The Darkest Dawn, you should play games 1-3 first. :)

yea i just saw your tweet about this, i'm indie bundle tracker btw. in case you didn't know. they should sell all of 'em as a bundle for like $9.99 that'd be nice.

Privateer is a pretty separate game; it takes place in the same universe but is more like Elite than the WCs (which are more like the Freespaces). So if you want sci-fi military space sims, you can get the WCs for $9. Hell of a deal (plus FMV of Mark Hamill, John Rhys-Davies, Tom Wilson, Malcom McDowell, and Ginger Lynn Allen, amongst others). If you want trading, free-form missions, ship customization with a side of shooting, Privateer is the way to go.

Well sure, but as of right now GOG has nearly all of the WC games ever made for the PC. All they're missing now is Prophecy, Privateer 2 *shudder*, Academy and Armada. That's where my almost comment comes from. :)
