Thanks to Blue’s News for pointing this one out. A new space game entitled StarDrive was announced that has been coined a ” 4X action/strategy game”. The game has a module-based ship-design, custom races, arcade-like combat should you desire, tactical ground combat and much more.
The game’s designer is running a Kickstarter campaign to help raise funding to get the game out, and I totally plan on donating. That page has a video with gameplay examples — which look pretty cool — and more info on the game itself. You can also see a video of combat at ModDB. I’ll be keeping my eye out on this one and will bring you news as we get it, but hey, new space game, yay!! :)
