SGJ Podcast #283 – Warp Nexus

Very Excite! Much Thrill!

Welcome to this week’s podcast, my friends! This week, Jim, Spaz, Hunter and I welcome back Scott Brown, president of Wyrmbyte, former president of Netdevil and the creator of Jumpgate, to talk about his new masterpiece, Warp Nexus. Warp Nexus strives to be something very different from Jumpgate: a quick, accessible experience wherein everyone on almost any device can not only enjoy the game, but make a difference to the universe. Using the amazing economic model of Jumpgate as a basis, what’s being built is something very impressive, even in its early stages. We discuss not only the game, but finding the right free-to-play model, economics within a game, flight modeling and much more. We also throw a ton of suggestions at him. ;) It was a really fun time!

Next week on the show, we’ll welcome back the folks from Team Jolly Roger to talk about their orbital artillery masterpiece, Worbital! As always, if you have any questions or comments, please drop them in the comments below, email us at hail@spacegamejunkie.com or hit us up on the forums.
