Starjack Online Takes Off to Expand and Explore

I like the look of this.

Thanks to Space Sector for bringing this to my attention. Limbo Game Studios recently made their free-to-play online real-time 4X space strategy game Starjack Online open and available to the public, after being in a closed beta period for a spell.

According to the website, Starjack Online is a “classic 4X game with deep, yet accessible gameplay that focuses on the technological, economic, military and political development of an empire.” The entire thing is in real-time, so I wonder how they handle empires when they player is away. I’ll have to give it a whirl and report back with some impressions.
