Starships Unlimited v3: A 4X with a Different Focus…

Being Hailed in the Middle of a Fight…

So this week on Matrix Games, Starships Unlimited is on sale for $9.99, which is a pretty good deal for such a deep game. I’ve not played the game in ages, but when it came out, I played the hell out of it. Since I was worried it’s a game that might’ve been lost to the sands of time, I figured I’d throw together a video to show some of the gameplay concepts, the interface and so on so you can decide whether it might be worth your hard earned coin. While I love the game, it’s fixed resolution and lack of a tutorial might put some off. That said, it comes with a great manual, lots of tips, and ran like butter on my machine (and likely will on older machines like laptops and netbooks, which it would be perfect for). Take a look at the vid and see if it’s a game you might be into, and thanks for watching. :)

PS. How do y’all like my new little 3-second intro? ;) I really dig it.
