Let’s Play Galactic Inheritors – Entry 1 – Spreading Our Wings

Taking the Map One System at a Time.

Welcome to the first entry in this Let’s Play series looking at the recently released 4X game from Crispon Games, Galactic Inheritors. Galactic Inheritors is a 4X in the vein of the first Master of Orion game (it feels that way to me, anyway), but strives to differentiate itself by the use of the media (to manipulate your own people and your neighbors) and a separate military industrial complex that builds warships separately from your civilian industry. In this entry, playing as the avian Calwar race, I ended up colonizing four colonies (colonization is aggressive in this game), built our first military ship, engaged in our first media campaign with an alien race and did some empire-based upgrades for research and colony ship construction improvements. This early part of any 4X game is my favorite, so we’ll see if the enthusiasm maintains throughout. Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more!

PS. I’m trying a new mic for this series, a Blue Yeti, so if you have any issues with my audio, please let me know. Thanks!
