Maintenance: Please Mind Our Dust…

I’ve Not Had to Use This Little Guy in a While…

Hey friends, how are ya? I’m chiming in because I’m learning how to identify and correct issues that cause problems with Google’s Page Speed test, and as such, and using my own site here as a test bed to learn how to implement things that’ll speed up the site. This not only involves theme changes, but changes under the hood such as moving around JavaScript and CSS so they’re implemented more quickly, minifying code so it’s less bulky and more.

As such, you might notice some oddities going on, such as missing sidebars or CSS not loading properly (all of which I encountered today as I worked on this), so I just wanted to let y’all know I’ll be banging around, tweaking and fixing in order to not only learn how to implement changes on other sites, but to make my own site as fast and efficient as possible for you guys. :)

I therefore wanted to just come on and let y’all know what’s going on so y’all don’t wonder why the theme might be different from one day to the next, or why some widgets might be missing (i.e. my tinkering broke my Google Calendar widget) and so on. Thanks for your patience while I learn all this fun stuff y’all, and also thanks for visiting.
