SGJ Podcast #156 – The Long Journey Home

Looks Familiar!

Welcome to this latest episode of the Space Game Junkie Podcast! This week, Jim, Hunter and I sit down with Andreas Suika, Creative Director at Daedalic Entertainment Studio West, about their upcoming Starflight-inspired space adventure game, The Long Journey Home! While we sadly didn’t have any playable code, we did have a video that Andreas made for us made for us that gives us (and you) a good swath of the gameplay. This helped us ask what we hope are solid questions. In this episode, we talk about Starflight’s legacy, this game’s creation, skirting early access (they plan to go live only with 1.0 and not before) and much more. It’s a really fun episode despite our fatigue. ;)

Next week on the show, we’ll be welcoming back James Hicks — who we had on a little over two years ago — to talk about the recently-out-of-early-access Ascent: The Space Game! As I said during the show, if you have any questions or comments, please drop them below, email us at hail@spacegamejunkie.com or hit us up on the forums. Thanks for watching and/or listening my friends, and enjoy the show!
