Dead Star Looking to Cease Operations

Looks like twin-stick online shooter Dead Star is shutting down, as per their website:

Online functionality (including multiplayer) for Dead Star will cease November 1, 2016.

This likely means the game is ceasing as well, since it’s pretty much entirely an online game. Shame, I had fun with it once a while back:

We wish the developers well on their next endeavour.
