A little while back, I wrote about how I thought Euro Truck Sim 2 would bring me some peace during these troubled times. It did, for a spell, but eventually — as amazing as the game is — something tugged at me that I didn’t like. A push that I didn’t appreciate. It’s hard to explain, but I’ve not touched it since our the community check-in stream a week or so ago.
So I sought new versions of zen. First I started with Star Trek Online, which has been a bit fun, but DAMN if those ground missions always take the wind out of my sails. Then, however, over on our Discord, Dex and podcast co-host Hunter were talking about all the awesome-sounding changes coming to EVE Online.
Now, you can say a lot of things about EVE Online, but it can be a REALLY zen game if you want it to be. Between mining and wormhole scanning, it can be a delight to tool around in EVE’s impressive universe. So, I canceled my Lord of the Rings Online subscription and resubbed to EVE, and I have to say, for now, it’s been the balm I’ve needed. Will it be in a week? I hope so, but for now, it’s doing its job. If you’re in EVE and not in a corp, consider joining ours. It’s awesome. ;)
I said how it’s helping me above, but I’d love to hear your stories.
This clip is actually from a little bit ago, but I’m just getting caught up in making them, and it’s from Autobahn Police Simulator 2. So freaking funny.
That’ll do it for this week y’all. May you have a lovely, safe and happy week, and I hope to see y’all on a stream!
