Space Empires: Starfury is an interesting experiment of sorts. What began as a 3D combat engine for Space Empires V morphed into its own, Freelancer-style single-ship combat and trading game. Sadly it's bogged down by an odd story, interface quirks, punishing difficulty and boring gameplay.
Concept
Through three story-based campaigns, take your captain through the universe as you gain money and fame for the military and pirates alike.
