A Pretty Map With Plenty on It…

Opening/Random Thoughts

Hey friends, happy Wednesday! As I write this I am tiiiiired. This morning we did a two and a half hour stream with the developer of Alliance of the Sacred Suns, and god DAMN was it fun. This “5X” game is so different from other grand strategy games, and so unique, that much of it was Steve (the aforementioned developer) explaining the game as we played, which is EXACTLY what we wanted!

The downside to this is I am pooooped. This is gonna take some getting used to, and I know I’ll do it, but dang it takes a lot of energy. Sleep has been just crap of late, so hopefully once I get better and more sleep things will improve. It’s a lot of change in a short amount of time, so I just need time to adapt, and I will. :)

Today’s Video(s)

Last night on the podcast, we focused almost entirely on mods. After our fun and random “Maron open,” we talked about a loooot of mods, for games old and new. My favorite types of mods are those that allow older games to run better, but there are also great total conversions and much more. It was a great discussion.

This morning’s stream with Steve Hawkins was so much fun. You can tell he not only loves his game, but is insanely passionate about it. We had a lot of fun just making decisions and seeing what would happen. This game has so much to do, and so many fun choices that each turn is such a struggle to know what’s the right thing to do with the limited amount of actions you have. SO FUN.

In today’s episode of Interstellar Space: Genesis…I feel kinda stuck. Like, colony and outpost ships are so expensive that I feel like I must be doing something wrong. Am I not investing enough in the right things, like infrastructure? I honestly don’t know, but I hope I find out soon because I feel a touch lost.
