Site Stuff: Game List Replaced with Wiki

Still fixing stuff!
Pardon Our Dust

So folks, when I launched the site, I created a simple list that was meant to be just that, a simple list for what felt like a simple project: play all the games on said list. With that said, this site has evolved and morphed into something much…more interesting, I think. I mean, we have podcasts, videos and so on, and it’s been getting harder to keep track of everything. I mean WordPress’ search makes it somewhat easy to find stuff, but it’s not as comprehensive as I’d like. The other day Jim mentioned I should add a Wiki, and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Not just as a replacement for the static list, but as a database for everything this site has and will have, sorted by game, article type and so on.

Today I’ve taken the first step toward this massive endeavor by replacing the simple game list that was on the site previously in the new Wiki, and you can see the released games and games in development lists by going to the Wiki now linked in the main navigation above. For ages folks have asked me if I can links to reviews and such in the list, and now that will be the goal. Eventually every game on these lists will have its own page, and those pages will have links to every article this site has on it. It’s still rudimentary, but you can see an example of what I’m going for on the Wiki’s Enemy Starfighter page. Eventually when I link to a page, I’ll be linking not to a site’s home page or a GOG page, but to a Wiki page which will include all this information, making it easy for you and me to get everything we need in one place.

This is gonna take a long time. A very long time, honestly. But in the end, it’ll be worth it. If you have any questions about this, let me know below or contact me directly. Thanks for visiting folks and helping make this site awesome. :) Love you guys! :)

  1. My forum login doesn’t work on the wiki, from the looks of it. I can read, but not add/modify. Wasn’t sure if you wanted other people contributing…

    1. Honestly I’m not sure how to handle that yet. I don’t want any ol’ schmuck editing it, but it can’t hurt to get some help. Would you be up to helping?
