Space Game Junkie Podcast #119 – Our Favorite Movie and TV Spaceships!

Best of the Best, I Think. ;)
Best of the Best, I Think. ;)

Welcome to this installment of the Space Game Junkie podcast! In this episode, Jim and I go through our (and the community’s) favorite spaceships from movies and TV shows, from the weird to the wonderful. We go through a lot of ships, from Space 1999’s Eagle to Battle Beyond the Stars’ Mother. We also talk about the movies and TV shows these ships are in as well, which makes it a varied show! It’s a really fun discussion, so we hope you enjoy it!

You can find images of all the ships we talked about below the video…below. Join us next week for a special early podcast (due to time zones) where we talk to the developers of the upcoming and currently Kickstarting space shooter rougelike, Everspace! See you then, and thanks for listening/watching!

  1. So you say you like sci-fi, but you could not get into Babylon 5, neither liked StarGate or Farscape? The only other proper space operas left are Star Trek shows and BSG, i wonder if you liked at least one of those :-)

BTW, there are 2 versions of Klingon Bird of Prey, one smaller frigate-like called B´Rel and another one larger, about 400 meters long called K´Vort – not saying its the one in the movies, but at that size its definitely not frigate…so could be a match for Constitution class easily.

  2. got is that all u cam say is what what what.. and interstellar was actually quite a good film if u take the time to watch it

  3. (am am waaaaaaaaaay behind on my podcasts)

This is one of those episodes that makes me sad that I only really have time to listen to the podcast rather than watch a stream or video.

I am shocked that you did not like Farscape. At the time, I was shocked that I did like Farscape, so maybe that is understandable after all.

If you’re going to have the Space Uterus, you have to have Lexx as well (The Lexx).

Chime In!
