SGJ Podcast #48: Drowning in Immersion

OOHHH! IMMERSION!
OOHHH! IMMERSION!

Hey folks, welcome to the latest episode of the Space Game Junkie Podcast. I apologize for getting this up so late, as Jim sent it to me days ago, but I had the busiest weekend ever, so I didn’t really have time to put it up until now. I also don’t have time to do the detailed show notes this week either (I might have to pair those down in general since they take an awful long time sometimes). :( On a happier note, Jim and I talk about a lot of awesome stuff, like news, games we’re playing and immersion in video games, based on our own experiences plus those you — our awesome readers — shared with us. It made for a great discussion, and we hope you enjoy it. :)

As always, you can leave comments below, or contact us at hail@spacegamejunkie.com if you’d like to contact us directly. Also, while I’m thinking of it, we’re thinking of doing some kind of write-in show, so hey, write us with questions you have and we’ll answer ’em on a future show. ;) Thanks for listening, as always folks! :)

  1. Great podcast guys. I listened to it today. Lots of good ideas in there. Plus I’m going to have to start listening to yet another podcast now: One about bad movies (Ice Pirates really did suck. No foolin’ But Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone, now THAT movie rocked and still does. Even without the 3D. Cheesy goodness all around. Jim if you view and review that one, I HAVE to be the guest commentator. Just sayin’). Cool work guys!

      1. OK. Dang. I missed that opportunity to defend it, in an entirely tongue-in-cheek fashion. Yes Molly whines and would NOT shut up, but I guess I kinda thought she was the movie’s villain. Overdog was just a dude in goth makeup welded to a crane. But C’mon: Robot chick who is so hot she melts, Swimmin’ women, Cannibal mutant kids, Sail train that makes NO sense, rocket-powered hang-gliders, strange wrinkly obese naked people, a giant steam plow, and the coolest SUV with a turret on top. What’s not to star-love?!

  2. I don’t think Star Citizen is pushing for money guys. I think people are throwing money at him whether he wants it or not. ;)

Chime In!
