You might recall some time back we had a Q&A with Steven Peeler of Soldak Entertainment about his upcoming then-unnamed space game. In the time since then, he’s revealed the name and launched a new site for it. The new game will be called Drox Operative. Some of the features include:
- Explore a dynamic and evolving galaxy
- Explore a unique sector of the galaxy in every game, with different “monsters”, ship components, quests, and even races
- Fight in the galactic war between the various alien races
- Battle hundreds of different enemy starships
We’ll bring you more info as we get it. I know I, for one, am DAMNED excited about this game. I keep throwing money at the website, but nothing happens. :/
See that big explosion? That's the death knell of the space sim genre...
I’ve always felt that if a PC game has a spaceship in it, I’ll play it, no question. One of my earliest memories involving video games was Lunar Lander on the Radio Shack TRS-80. Cool GSB ship you can buy now. ;)
So my last day of having two jobs is today, so I’m gonna slowly return to updating this site (OMG I am so tired though). The news today is that the recently announced DLC for Gratuitous Space Battles, called Parasites, has been released, and you can purchase it currently on the official GSB website or on GamersGate. Personally I’m gonna buy it when it arrives on Steam, which is where my copy of GSB resides. It looks pretty cool, so I plan to dive in this weekend (first time I can play games in three weeks! YAY!).
So yeah, more news and original stories will be forthcoming. Thanks for your patience and patronage, and I hope you keep visiting. :)
